Huawei's 40W Dual-port Charger

One of the first products to use the UFCS fusion fast charging protocol is Huawei's 40W dual-port charger. It has 1A and 1C ports, just like the Xiaomi charger we looked at in the last issue. However, the fusion port has an interference design and doesn't work with both USB-A and USB. -C is plugged in and pulled out at the same time. The two ports also support Huawei's 40W super fast charge, which is what Huawei's fast-charging phones need.

The power consumption, ripple, conversion efficiency, and temperature tests show how well this charger works. Under 220V 50HZ and 110V 60Hz mains, the standby power consumption does not go above 0.075W. According to the national charger output quality standard, the results show that under the two types of mains, the ripple of this charger under the heavy-load output gear is below 50mVp-p, and the output quality is better than the mainstream level on the market.

Second, in a 25°C environment, with 20V2A 40W power output continuously, the temperature threshold is reached under extreme load conditions, the charging protection is activated, and the voltage level is lowered to 5V; the temperature of the simulated user's daily charging can reach up to 63.7°C, and the highest temperature when the overheat protection is activated is 72.1°C.

Overall, Huawei's 40W dual-port charger has the UFCS fusion protocol and has been approved by the Institute of Communications. In terms of compatibility, its power can meet the fast charging needs of most phones on the market, and it can also support Huawei's 40W fast charging. Because of the way it is charged and how small it is, the temperature is higher when it is being used every day
