Different Kinds Of Industrial Robot Cables
What are the different kinds of industrial robot cables based on how they are put together?
Based on how they are built and how they are used, they fall into four subcategories.
1. Bare-stranded wire is the most popular product in this category. Because it is always put up on a pole, it is usually called "overhead wire." The overhead conductor itself doesn't have a voltage level. This means that the same set of conductors can be used for low voltage, medium voltage, high voltage, and even ultra-high voltage. But the 330-500kV class has special requirements for the wire's outer diameter and surface smoothness to reduce the corona on the wire's surface (that is, the electric field makes the surrounding local air electrically free, which will increase the line loss).
Industrial robot cables: The overhead conductor is made up of simple parts, but its effect is very important. In the power grid, the length of the lines makes up more than 90% of the whole. The 110kV-500kV high-voltage transmission and distribution lines make up the vast majority of the lines. Based on how it is made, the bare-stranded wire can be divided into three types. One type is made of a single wire of a single metal, like aluminium stranded wire, copper stranded wire, aluminium alloy stranded wire, etc. Another type is made of steel-stranded wire as the core wire to increase the tensile strength and a steel-cored aluminium stranded wire with one or more layers of aluminium wire or aluminium alloy wire. The third type is a stranded wire made of a single wire of two different metals,
Steel-cored aluminium stranded wire is commonly used because the steel core can handle the pulling force on the pole and the distance between poles can be increased to save money (especially for high-voltage lines), extend the life of the wire, and make it safer. If there is corrosive gas near the laying line, the anti-corrosion steel-cored aluminium stranded wire coated with anti-corrosion coating should be used.
The trend in new products for overhead and wire is:
1 Raise the long-term working temperature or conductivity of the wire to increase its transmission capacity, such as with double-capacity wire, etc.; 2 Add tensile capacity and vibration resistance without adding to the weight of the wire. For example, high-strength aluminium alloy stranded wire, self-damping (Anti-vibration) wires, etc.; 3 Anti-ice and snow wires that keep the surface of the wires from freezing in cold areas.
2. Bare single wires are non-ferrous metal single wires of different materials and sizes. They can be divided into round single wires (copper, aluminium, and their alloys), flat wires (copper, aluminium, and their alloys), and metal coatings (tin, silver, nickel, etc.) single wire and double metal wire (aluminium-clad steel, copper-clad aluminium, copper-clad steel, etc.). Most of these products are used to make wire and cable products in the future.
3. Industrial robot cables: The cross-sections of profiled wires and profiled products are different. Profiled wires are those that aren't round, and profiles are those that aren't used in longer lengths.
