Make Two computers connected with an Ethernet cable
One of the most common things that people do with their computers is connected them together so they can share files.
Goowell teaches you how to set up an Ethernet cable and then use both your computer's settings for sharing files!
It is important to note that you cannot use just any Ethernet cable for this task. You will need one with female connections on both ends in order to connect them together properly- only certain types of cables are eligible! For Windows, make sure your network settings allow file sharing before proceeding; otherwise, there may be problems when trying to share files between two computers over USB or Bluetooth instead of traditional ethernet connections (which work best). To set up Macs similarly, enable File Sharing first then choose which folder(es) should show up under Shared Folders within System Preferences > sharing tab…
Connecting the Computers
Determine whether or not your computers have Ethernet ports.
Buy an Ethernet adapter if necessary. If your computer doesn't have an Ethernet port, you'll need to buy a USB Ethernet adapter for your computer. You can find these online and in tech stores.
Check to see if you have a crossover Ethernet cable.
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into one computer. The Ethernet cable's head should fit into the Ethernet port on your computer with the lever side facing down.
If you have to use an Ethernet adapter, plug the USB end of the adapter into one of your computer's free USB ports.
Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the other computer. The other end of the Ethernet cable should plug into the other computer's available Ethernet port.
Again, if you have to use an Ethernet adapter for the other computer, plug it in first.
