Coaxial power connectors are an essential part of any device that requires electrical current, as they allow for connection with low voltage wires.

USB ports are limited to 500mA but this doesn't matter for most development boards.

The USB specification says that you can only draw 500 milliamps from a port but this will never be an issue for the typical developer.

This cable length is 1 meter, we could use a different wire gauge for you too, up to 18AWG or 16AWG will be fine.

These are awesome! I use mine to power a Beaglebone from a USB battery pack. The one thing that's great about this is it doesn't matter what kind of outlet you have because they provide 2A while maintaining regulation, so really any "proper" 5V supply would work :)
