The Evolution Of USB4 Data Cable

When I first used a computer, which was a long time ago, it didn't seem to have a USB interface (it seemed to reveal my age). At that time, printers, keyboards, and mice were used, and they came in many shapes, colors, and sizes. The computer is linked to the interface.

Before USB data cables came out, all of the above cables were widely used. They had a lot going against them. First, different devices needed to be connected to different cables, and these interfaces almost didn't support hot swapping, so they couldn't be "plug and play." Before it can be used, it needs to be debugged and set up many times. If you don't pay attention to the lower right corner of the computer, it will often tell you that the power supply doesn't work or that it has other problems.

As time went on, these inconvenient interfaces slowly went away, and the problems they caused were finally solved when USB came along.

It can be hot-swapped, and it doesn't change how the computer works when it's turned on. It can be plugged in and played, and it can be read and recognized as soon as it's plugged in, without any configuration. It can also charge other devices.

With the progress of technology, new products are always coming out. Also, the USB interface is slowly getting better.

There are three kinds of USB data lines: those without IC, those with IC, and those with special chips.

Without IC: There is no central control chip, the mobile computer needs to be plugged in for the line to be recognized, and the price is low.

Special chip: not a common chip, but a type of chip made just for special uses

With IC: With the central control chip, you can find the line even if your mobile computer isn't plugged in. Since an IC costs more than 10 yuan, the price is higher than if there wasn't an IC. The chip's data line works on the USB to COM principle, which turns the USB interface into a serial port and shows it on the computer.
