3. Connect the data and power cables

There are two cable jacks on SATA hard drives, the 7-pin data cable jack, and the SATA-specific 15-pin power cable jack, both of which are flat in shape. The great thing about these flat jacks is that they have a dummy-proof design so that in non-violent situations, there will be no such phenomenon as insertion errors.
