Incoming material inspection process
Incoming material inspection process in the factory
The core of quality management is quality, the basis is full participation, the purpose is to satisfy customers, and incoming material inspection is the first barrier of quality management.

What is incoming inspection
Incoming inspection means confirming and checking the quality of the purchased raw materials, parts, or products by sampling, and to determine whether the batch is accepted or not.
The significance of incoming material inspection
IQC is the first quality control barrier for enterprise products before production, and its purpose is to find quality problems at the forefront, move quality control forward and reduce quality costs. If unqualified products are put into the process, it will lead to the failure of the process or finished products, affecting the quality of the company's final products.
In the manufacturing industry, the direct impact on product quality is usually design, incoming material, process, storage, and transportation four main items, generally speaking, design accounts for 25%, incoming material accounts for 50%, process accounts for 20%, storage, and transportation 1% to 5%. Incoming material inspection is crucial to the quality of the company's products, so the quality control of incoming materials should be elevated to a strategic position to treat.
Incoming material inspector duties
1. Incoming material inspection: all of the main characteristics of the outsourced materials are confirmed with reference to the relevant standards of the material, or the activities to confirm whether they meet the requirements of use.
2. Follow up on the quality problems found in the inspection process, as well as the production and market feedback of major material quality problems, establish preventive measures within the IQC, etc.
3. Statistical quality data in the process of incoming material receiving and inspection, and feedback to relevant departments in the form of weekly and monthly reports, as the basis for incoming material quality control and management of suppliers.
4. Participate in the optimization of relevant processes in the logistics control chain, and make suggestions and comments on the optimization of processes related to material inspection in logistics.
Incoming Material Inspection Sampling Method
IQC often encounters a variety of bad incoming material inspection, inspection should be done both from the incoming material as a whole and taking samples.
Whether the outer packaging is intact
Whether the LABEL is clear and correct
Whether the inner packaging is intact
Whether there are most few
Whether there is any disorder in the packaging
Common sampling techniques for incoming material inspection
Hierarchical sampling method
If the incoming goods are arranged in layers or in sequence, the hierarchical sampling method can be used for sampling.

Diagonal sampling method
For the incoming goods placed horizontally and vertically, neat and consistent, then the diagonal sampling method can be used for sampling.

Triangle sampling method
If the incoming goods are placed in the same plane, then the triangular sampling method can be used for sampling. This method is also applicable to the situation described in II.

S-shaped sampling method
If the incoming goods are placed in the same plane, you can also use the S-shaped sampling method of sampling.
IQC is generally responsible for the quality control of purchased materials, including inspection and various data statistical analysis. Commonly used reports generally have inspection reports, a monthly or annual summary of incoming material inspection results, material PPM reports, etc.
Reports are very much, can be analyzed and processed with the help of some software systems, to achieve paperlessly, save labor costs, improve the ability to respond to quality problems, and shorten the response time, while automatically collecting inspection data and generating the reports required by IQC, but also to improve the efficiency of the workforce.
