Our Honda K-Series Wire Harness PRO Swap harness is made to make it easy to plug and play a 2.0L or 2.4L K-Series engine into an RWD platform.
This harness was made for a Scion FRS/Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86 with a K-Series Honda/Acura K20 or K24 engine swap that is sold in the United States. It was made in-house on a real K-Series engine to make sure that all engine connections fit perfectly.
At the moment, you can only get this harness with OEM/Plug-in ECUs.
Alternator Charge Cable: This Honda K-series Wiring Harness connects the starter/battery directly to the output of the alternator. This allows the improved power routing on our harness to get rid of the wire that runs from the alternator to the fusebox and/or battery while still charging the battery normally.
ECU Patch Harness: You don't have to cut into your engine harness to add accessories if you buy this extra part. Between the wiring harness plug and the ECU, there is a length of wire that you can use to add things like air-fuel meters and controllers, electric boost controllers, rev/speed meters, and more.
Grounding Kit: Our kit connects a number of engine parts to the car's body and makes sure you won't have problems because of bad ground. The Ultra High temp fiberglass sleeving in the Grounding Kit lets it be installed under or around exhaust components. There are a lot of different ways to mount the engine, so you can connect the block, head, battery tray, alternator case, and chassis to get rid of all grounding problems.
Speedo/Tach Signal Conditioning: The Dakota Digital SGI-5 unit for Speed and the SGI-8 unit for Tach can "condition" the signal to account for cross-platform swaps and/or changes to the number of cylinders. If you have the option to ADD either unit on the harness page for your swap, you need them for the speedometer and tachometer to work right. Please keep in mind that some transmissions, like those in the 350z, BMW ZF, and S15 Silvia, don't have a speed sensor and will need a solution that isn't based on the harness, like a GPS speedo. Most Nissan-to-Nissan swaps can be fixed by just adjusting the tachometer.
Plug-n-Play vs. Universal: Plug-n-Play harnesses connect to your car's fuse box under the hood for power and to connectors under the dash for things like gauges. Universal harnesses don't need a fusebox under the hood to connect to, and the wiring for gauges and warning lights comes as "flying leads," which are bare wires with their function written on them.
Right-Hand Drive (RHD) Conversions: Order the LHD version of the harness if you used ALL the stock LHD chassis connectors for your RHD swap. If you used ALL of the clip/swap RHD chassis connectors, order the RHD version of the harness. If you used both LHD and RHD chassis connectors, please let us know because our harnesses will need to be changed.
Not Seeing It? - If you have injectors, a throttle body, coil packs, or anything else that isn't on the list of options, please let us know. Most likely, we can do it!
Battery Cables and Moving the Battery: The battery must be connected to the starter. To do this, you need a battery cable that goes from the positive battery terminal to the main power lug on the starter. Usually, this positive battery cable also powers the main fusebox under the hood. This box runs many parts of your car that aren't the engine, such as the interior lights, the power to the dashboard, and the headlights and taillights. As each install is different, please make sure you are ready.
LS2/LQ9 GM V8 Coil Pack Conversions: Most of our harnesses can be upgraded to GM V8 LS2/LQ9 Smart Coils. This will eliminate the ignitor chip completely (when present), and allow you to use the high-performance LS2/LQ9 Coil Packs which are easy to find. MOJO Performance makes a mounting kit that keeps the coil packs in the same place over the spark plug when they are installed on JZ or RB engines. You can add the kits to your order by choosing them from the Options list on the right. Each kit has brackets, mounting hardware, rubber boots, and contact springs. Installation on other engines will require a custom mounting solution and extra parts - please contact us for details about this Honda K-series wiring harness. NOTE: OEM Toyota JZ ECUs require an IGF signal produced by the ignitor chip. When the chip is removed for LS2/LQ9 coil upgrade, an aftermarket ECU or IGF simulator box is required (not included with our harness), and the coils will be fired sequentially.
