The Disassembly process revealed that the USB-C and Lightning wire ends were fixed under the plastic shell using steel sets that had been spot welded, providing excellent protection. Internal small plates and wire core solder joints had also been fixed using an injection-filled process. The wire body's outer skin is still made of biodegradable material, and to increase strength, tensile wire is combined with shielding mesh and tinfoil around the core. The USB data line's positive side is made up of a pure copper core with a shielding network, and the negative side is made up of bare copper wire with tin plating on it.
The cable body's outer diameter is 3.07mm.
The net weight is around 20g overall.
Foxconn is the company that makes the cable, and the test instrument gave the original C91M Lightning terminal a score of 100 points.
